James, meet Oscar.
Oscar Wilde once said, "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all."
Never a truer word was spoken, more recognised and acknowledged since the lockdown.
I asked James to read the quote. He read it and said it didn't make sense. Granted he is only 9. I asked him if he wanted it explaining, so I tried in the simplest form; It means people are so busy rushing around that they aren't really living their life. In true James style he looked up in contemplation then said; "Mum, I've just seen something moving on the ceiling, look, its a spider."
Maybe it's too early to introduce Oscar to James but I hope one day, James and his Brother Arthur will understand and choose to live.
Take some time to contemplate Oscars' words today. Have a lovely weekend.
